CIRRO ENERGY TO DONATE MONEY AND TIME FOR GRACE BRIDGE THANKSGIVING MEAL PROGRAM

PLANO, Texas – Nov. 21, 2013Cirro Energy, a subsidiary of Dominion Resources, will donate money while its employees provide volunteer and collection efforts to support a grassroots holiday meal initiative for Grace Bridge, a food bank and community development center that serves the North Texas area. Cirro Energy’s donation will support the organization’s Thanksgiving meal program with $1,000 and the efforts of employees who volunteered to prepare meals.

“Cirro Energy has a deep commitment to the communities we serve and we’re pleased to be part of the Grace Bridge Thanksgiving meal program this year,” said Jim Hayes, managing director for Cirro Energy. “Cirro Energy’s involvement with Grace Bridge goes beyond financial support. Our employees were so inspired by the important work at Grace Bridge that they volunteered to help prepare meals, as well as donate additional food for struggling families in our area.”

Cirro Energy’s financial donation will be used to purchase foodstuff for the Thanksgiving meal program. Throughout the week of Nov. 11-15, Cirro Energy employees collected food items for the program. On Friday, Nov. 22, they will assemble the Thanksgiving meal kits for distribution the next week.

Grace Bridge is a non-profit community outreach serving Collin and Denton counties in North Texas. Established by the Master's Foundation in April 2011, Grace Bridge was organized as a regional food bank. Today, Grace Bridge provides many vital resources to families and individuals in need.

“Grace Bridge provides practical services designed to help people achieve a brighter future,” said Carter Morris, executive director of Grace Bridge. “Our programs include job search training, eye care clinics, parenting seminars, guidance towards obtaining GED's and help enrolling in ESL classes. One of our most impactful projects is the Thanksgiving meal program. A substantive meal with friends during the holidays can make a major difference in a person’s life, especially during troubled times.”

Since opening, Grace Bridge has served more than 560 families, provided food to more than 2,650 individuals, distributed 700 backpacks filled with school supplies to students and furnished more than 7,000 clothing and outerwear items. Their Thanksgiving efforts will provide food and joy to less fortunate people in the North Dallas area.
