Serving will begin at 11 a.m., with awards at 1:15 p.m.
Armbands are $6 each and may be purchased at the Gilmer Area Chamber of Commerce (106 Buffalo St.) or at the door. Children under 10 years of age eat free.
The cook-off is non-sanctioned, and a lot of fun for everyone.
There is a lot of competition for the best chili, as well as the best booth presentation. Everyone is welcome to enter and try their hand in the competition.
For entry forms and rules, or more information, contact the Gilmer Area Chamber of Commerce at 903-843-2413.
Entry forms should be returned by Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Judges will be on hand to make their choices for the best chili and best booth awards.
Ballots will be given with each armband purchase to vote for the “People’s Choice Award”.
There will be a silent auction again this year, so come enjoy the food and check out the nice items available.
One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the community fund, which helps many individuals of Upshur County through many different avenues throughout the year.
