Goudarzi, managing partner of Goudarzi & Young, LLP, was ETTLA’s president from 2011 to 2017 and has been a member since 1998. He will continue serving the organization as president emeritus and a member of its board of directors, said Gilliland, a partner in the Daingerfield law firm of Nix, Patterson and Roach, LLP.
In a press release issued Tuesday, Gilliland cited Goudarzi for having “recovered record verdicts and settlements all over the state,” adding, “Mr. Goudarzi is frequently hired to assist other lawyers with less experience and knowledge.”
Gilliland also announced that two atttorneys with Goudarzi’s firm, Geoffrey Hoover and John Hull, have been elected to ETTLA’s 10-member board of directors.
ETTLA comprises plaintiffs’ attorneys from northeast Texas, including 32 counties, and its “purpose is to network ideas and resources to empower consumers in their legal battles against insurance companies,” Gilliland said.
