East Texas Center for Nonprofits
Hosts 2nd Annual Conference for Nonprofit Professionals
The Bright Ideas for Success Conference will be held November 15, 2013 at the Green Acres Crosswalk Center in Tyler. Hosted by the East Texas Center for Nonprofits, formerly known as Nonprofit Development Center of United Way of Smith County, this is the second conference for nonprofit professionals in East Texas.
Nonprofit professionals, businesses and public attendees are asked to register at www.brightideasforsuccess.com.
"It's so important for nonprofit leaders, board members, staff and volunteers to continue to learn and improve their skills to help them better manage their nonprofit, meet their mission and serve their clients", said Nan Moore, president of United Way of Smith County. "We want to give East Texas nonprofit professionals an opportunity to sharpen their skills in the convenience of their own backyard."
Whether it's through the compelling message from the luncheon keynote speaker, new strategies learned at sessions, networking and idea-sharing with peers, or finding the perfect product or service from an exhibitor, attendees will be energized to achieve greater impact in their work. Renowned author and motivational speaker Michael Clayton will be the featured keynote for the luncheon. His topic of "TRUST...the BIG Difference Maker" will resonate throughout the day into the breakout sessions on fundraising, leadership and governance, public relations, social media, volunteer management, organizational effectiveness and more.
"Last year's conference exceeded our expectations and was very impactful on our nonprofit community", said Gina Anderson, director of the East Texas Center for Nonprofits.
"This year TJC will be offering CEU's for conference attendees and the keynote and session speakers are eager to share their ideas and information. We are confident this year's conference is one you do not want to miss."
