Free safety course on Machine Guarding/Lock Out–Tag Out will be offered Jan. 29-30

Kilgore College will offer Machine Guarding and Lock-out, Tag-out training Jan. 29-30.

 

The class will be from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. both nights in the Bert E. Woodruff Adult Education Center in Kilgore.



Workplace accidents involving machinery can be avoided with the proper training on Lock Out-Tag Out. 



This course will help workers identify hazards, recognize warning labels, and learn about eye, face, respiratory, hearing, head, hand and foot protection.



Material covered in the course includes Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) standards for hazardous communications, personal protective equipment, accident investigation and Lock Out-Tag Out procedures.



The course is provided free through the KC Workforce Development’s Risk Management Institute which is funded by a grant from Texas Mutual Insurance Company.

Machine Guarding/Lock Out-Tag Out: an eight-hour class scheduled for Tuesday through Wednesday evenings, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Jan. 29-30 in the Bert E. Woodruff Adult Education Center in Kilgore.
