KAITLIN CAMP, of Ore City, returned to the Houston Livestock Show March 8-10, to show her calf she scrambled for in February of 2011. She was presented a check at that time to purchase her calf, and now a year later has met her obligation to her donor, Gra-Gulf Coast Construction, LLC, to raise the calf. Kaitlin chose a horned Hereford, which she purchased from Landers Farm near Sulphur Springs. The calf, registered as JKL '”Lil Showtime”, came home with two ribbons, 2nd place in her class, as well as 4th place in the calf scrambler group of 16. With the help of Jimmy Cox, Harleton ISD AG teacher, Kaitlin and “Patty” (nickname) have had success in the project, representing Harleton FFA. Kaitlin will show Patty at Farm-City Week in Marshall this month.
