NOTICE: Master Plan Revision U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Lake O’ the Pines Submit Comments by June 14
The Lake O’ the Pines Master Plan update is underway and the Corps is soliciting written input from the public, and the initial comment period ends June 14. Construction Advertisement and Invitation for Bids
Pritchett Water Supply Corporation will receive bids on behalf of Upshur County, Texas for Water Well #24, TxCDBG #7216469 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time on that date at the office of Pritchett WSC located at 3670 State Hwy. 155 South, Gilmer, TX 75645.
The project will consist of constructing a 1,140 feet deep public water supply well. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at Hayes Engineering, Inc., 2126 Alpine St., Longview, TX 75601, (903) 758-2010. Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents/Plans may be obtained for $25 (no refunds) from the Engineer.
A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Upshur County, Texas or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the grant recipient’s Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00.
Pritchett WSC reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Pritchett WSC for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
