Mackenzie Oliver exhibits winners at Houston Livestock Show

MACKENZIE OLIVER, the 12-year-old daughter of David and Theresa Oliver and the granddaughter of Jean Oliver and the late Rev. O D Oliver, showed her Californian rabbits at the Houston Livestock Show last week and received a trophy belt buckle for “Best in Breed” and a trophy for 1st runner up to “Best in Show” competing against 755 rabbits. She also received a plaque for second place in the judging completion. Mackenzie has been showing Californian rabbits for five years with the 4-H and Junior FFA in Canton. She has received the first place “High Point Sweepstakes Award” for the state of Texas (TRBA) for the last three years and placed third “High Point Sweepstakes Award” in the United States (ARBA) last year. Mackenzie also shows hogs and goats as well as shows horses in both English and western pleasure events.
