MedRebels Foundation Celebrates 2nd Year of Growth with Fundraising Event

Medrebels is promoting a Cell-ebration for the recent Texas Medical Board Ruling with fundraising and awareness event.

May 29, 2012-- AUSTIN, TX- MedRebels Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas is celebrating the recent Texas Medical Board ruling which will help make Texas a leader in the research and development of adult stem cell therapies.  MedRebels’ mission is to build awareness for adult stem cell research and provide patients with information about treatments options available today.

The scientific relevance and health benefits for adult stem cells is only at the beginning of it s evolution and it takes a rebel type movement to gain momentum for change.  The State of Texas is taking a lead to help make Texas a leader for what could be the future of medicine.  There still needs to be major efforts supporting research but there are many on-going research efforts as well as therapies available today that have helped many patients.  The Medrebel revolution will help educate people so information is exchanged and informed decisions can be made by everyone.

“We are thankful for living in a great State like Texas where we get so much interest from our community.  We are fortunate to have Governor Perry support a cause that will affect generations to come.  Patients need to understand their healthcare options when talking with their physicians and awareness is the first step,” said Shay McBurney, the event coordinator.
