The Republican Women of Upshur county are hosting a 2012 Republican candidate forum, April 12, 2012, 6PM at the Church of Christ Annex building at 612 Buffalo St. Gilmer.

All of the candidates running for Sheriff, Commissioner and County Chair were mailed invitations. Due to the constraints of time, we could not include the constables but they were also invited to attend.

As of the date this was written the following have confirmed their attendance. Candidates running for Sheriff Anthony Betterton, Greg Mandreger, Larry Webb, Donald Willeford. Candidates running for Commissioner Pct 1, James Crittenden, Mike Chandler, Richard Hodge, Wayne Oney. Candidates running for Commissioner Pct 3 Lloyd Crabtree, Frank Berka. Candidate running for County Chair Ken Ambrose. The dead line to RSVP is Friday, Ap. 6th. As of the date this was written the following have not confirmed their attendance, Paula Gentry, running for Commissioner Pct 1, Cynthia Ridgeway and Chuck Mears both running for County Chair.

Our panelist of judges are Mollie Harrington Texas Federation of Republican Women Deputy President Region 1, and Phillip Willians local journalist.
