Students Named to Austin College Fall 2012 Dean’s List

 

SHERMAN, TEXAS—Austin College’s Dean’s List has been announced for Fall Term 2012, according to Austin College Registrar Texas Ruegg. The Dean’s List recognizes the top 20 percent of students taking a minimum of three graded, full-credit courses each fall and spring term based on the grade point average for that term. For Fall Term 2012, the Dean’s List recognizes those who earned a semester grade point average of at least 3.74 on a 4.0 scale.

 

For Fall Term 2012, 228 individuals are recognized on the Dean’s List (from a student body of approximately 1,300). Of those, freshmen, sophomores, and juniors represent approximately 20 percent each of the honorees. Forty percent of the Dean’s List honorees for Fall Term 2012 are seniors.

 

“Academic achievement is the primary mission of Austin College,” said Michael Imhoff, vice president for Academic Affairs and dean of the faculty. “The Dean’s List is one appropriate way in which we seek to acknowledge the superior educational accomplishments of our students.”
