The State Tour is Coming to Tyler on Tuesday!
Creating a Vision for Texas Public Schools
Town hall events offer opportunities to shape the path for schoolchildren
Texas AFT is traveling throughout the state to offer more than a dozen town hall events aimed at creating a vision for Texas public schools. What do our students need to acquire a quality education? Where should our schools focus their resources? How should we work with state lawmakers to fund our children’s futures? The community conversations will help set a pro-public school policy agenda for the next legislative session and will identify how to improve our schools in the areas of:
School Funding • Accountability • Teaching Quality • Equal Access to High-Quality Education
