Two human resources classes will be offered in November
Kilgore College will offer two human resources classes appropriate for professionals in the field as well as other managers, supervisors and small business owners.
The two courses, “Interviewing Skills” and “Diversity in the Workplace,” will meet in the Bert E. Woodruff Adult Education Center, 220 N. Henderson Blvd. in Kilgore.
“Interviewing Skills” is an eight-hour course set for Friday Nov. 2 and Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon. Content will cover behavioral–based interviewing techniques, pre-employment screening and other predictors.
“Diversity in the Workplace” is an eight-hour course set for Tuesday Nov. 27 through Dec. 11 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Students will identify aspects of diversity, recognize bias, stereotyping and discrimination. Content will also cover how individual differences can impact performance and organizational outcomes.
Both courses are approved by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) for continuing education units. Registration is $125 for each course and enrollment is limited.
