PATRICIA DODD of Gilmer (right) receives a $100 Walmart gift card from Mandy Seahorn, RN, charge nurse on the medical/surgical unit of ETMC Gilmer. Mrs. Dodd’s name was drawn from all patients who returned a hospital satisfaction survey in October. “I have been to several hospitals in this area because of my chronic illness and ETMC Gilmer shows the best hospitality and has staff that truly cares about me as a person,” she said. Satisfaction surveys are sent to all patients who receive treatment at ETMC Gilmer. “The purpose of the survey is to capture important information about a patient’s hospital visit,” Nurse Seahorn said. “The information helps us gauge areas where we are meeting patient expectations and areas where we may need to improve.” ETMC is a not-for-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life in communities throughout East Texas. Other ETMC facilities include hospitals in Athens, Carthage, Clarksville, Crockett, Fairfield, Henderson, Jacksonville, Mt. Vernon, Pittsburg, Quitman, Trinity and Tyler.
