ASEP is a summer program, which gives recent high school graduates the opportunity to obtain 6 college credits in the summer before their freshman year of college. Our ASEP student population generally consists of minority, first generation college students of low socio-economic status. Even though several colleges and universities offer summer bridge programs, ASEP is unique to Jarvis Christian College because our program focuses on diversity, inclusion, mentoring, cross curriculum courses, critical thinking, and college preparation.
The Rees-Jones Foundation is a private foundation which focuses on programming that has a measurable impact on the lives of children and youth and their families. Their goal is to provide this population with the basic ingredients for success in education and physical, mental and spiritual development. Funds received from the Rees-Jones Foundation will provide scholarships for students from the Dallas Fort Worth area.
