Gilmer High School graduate David Kitchens is sound supervisor for Juniper Post.
Juniper Post’s newsletter, Sound Bytes, said that director of the film, Mario Van Peebles, plays alongside 50 Cent, Ray Liotta and Lynn Whitfield.
“It’s a project I wrote and produced myself,” Jackson said of the film. “It’s about a Heisman hopeful who could possible be going to the league and everyone is assuming he’s gonna make it, and then he’s hit with an illness.”
Jackson said he had a friend who had cancer, and that’s what motivated him to write the screen play.
He said that his character had to lose 54 pounds.
“I had to discipline myself enough until I achieved it, but I got it.”
The on-line newsletter, which can be found at juniperpost.com, said that now that Things Fall Apart is a wrap, Juniper Post is gearing up for mixing and sound design services for another movie by Jackson, Set Up, which stars Bruce Willis and Ryan Phillipe.
Juniper Post also worked on A Haunting in Georgia, starring Michael Murray.
The newsletter also mentions several other movies Juniper Post is helping with.
Gilmer native Kitchens is definitely staying busy.
