THE GILMER ROTARY CLUB completed its annual program of giving dictionaries to every third grader in Upshur County last week, when dictionaries were presented to students from Big Sandy, Diana and Union Grove. Gilmer, Union Hill and Ore City students received dictionaries the preceding week, and another club took care of Harmony third graders. In this photo, Rotarian Tim Marshall is shown with Big Sandy teachers, from left, Dell Hitt, Latrenda Derrick and Britteny Akin. In the next photo, he is with Union Grove teachers Kathy Blankenship, left, and Tracy Floyd. In the last picture, Marshall and Rotarian Bill Patterson visit with, from left, New Diana teachers Linda Watkins, Jennifer Helms and Robyn Oliver. About 600 dictionaries were distributed by the Gilmer Rotary Club.
