College closed March 12-16 for spring break, East Texas Oil Museum will be open

Kilgore College campuses will be closed next week for spring break, March 12-16.

The college will reopen 7:45 a.m. Monday, March 19.

Parks Fitness Center:

Parks Fitness Center, on the Kilgore campus, will be open regular hours during spring break.

East Texas Oil Museum:

The East Texas Oil Museum will be open for regular winter hours during spring break. 

The museum is currently operating on its winter schedule which is Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday afternoons from 2 to 5.

According to Joe White, museum director, the museum features several new displays including an animatronic lineman that actually greets and talks to visitors to Boomtown, USA.

Admission is $5 for ages 3-11, and $8 for ages 12 and older.

The museum is located at the corner of Highway 259 and Ross Street on the KC campus.
