As the sun rose Saturday morning, members of the Ore City team and others helped Chairman Sara Allen put back the tables which had been borrowed from the Flight of the Phoenix Aviation Museum.
The location was changed due to construction of the new turf at Buckeye Stadium. As a result, the circle of the Luminarias was more compact this year.
More than 600 luminaries were donated either in memory of or in honor of a cancer survivor.
It is the highest participation in recent years.
The projected goal for the group was $32,000, so the committee is delighted with the help they have received.
