This year, Harmony High School is partnering with Northeast Texas Community College to provide College Connection activities to Harmony students.

The program provides all high school students with access to college applications, college placement testing, financial aid counseling and career counseling.

All of these services are provided through a grant funded by The Higher Education Coordinating Board. The goal of the program is to make sure that all graduates have access and the tools they need to apply and enroll in a college or university.

Harmony has about 60 high school seniors who will benefit from these services, said Jodi Weber, media relations person for NTCC.

Throughout the remaining school year, NTCC staff will be working one-on-one with students and parents to prepare them for college admission.

The next scheduled event will be held on Feb. 23 at 7 p.m., when NTCC staff will be at Harmony High School to assist all high school seniors with applying for financial aid.
