The Gilmer High School Stars Drill Team Officers recently attended American Drill Team School camp June 18 to 20 at Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston.

The young ladies received numerous awards.

Team awards were: Super Sweepstakes (1 rating in 3 categories), Home Routine award, Gussie Nell Davis Award (90 score or above in 3 categories), All American Team of the Day (1st day of camp), All American Team of the Week, and Best Overall Technique.

Individual Honors include: All American in Dance—Cara Davidson, Kaitlin Johnston, Lacie Roberts and Emily Buettner.

Honorable Mention All American in Dance—Brittney Tullar.

Cara Davidson & Kaitlin Johnston both received Green Ribbon Kick Company and Gold Ribbon Dance Company.

Outstanding Performer award went to Cara Davidson.

The Stars officers and Drill Team will begin the 2012-2013 football season and school year with their first performance at “Meet the Buckeyes” in August.
