HMI Program Participants see Big Returns

Rappa field day Our friends from Flavor Magazine just published this amazing article featuring graduates of HMI's Future Farms & Ranches: Rappahannock year-long training program. Seven farms participated in the intensive program, where they learned, practiced, and benefited from Holistic Management whole farm/ranch planning. It's great to see how embracing sustainable principles can make such a positive impact on the farmers that embrace it.

How Not to Go Broke Ranching How to Not go Broke Ranching by Walt Davis is the irreverent and sometimes humorous effort of a multi-generation rancher to help people keep from making all of the mistakes that he made in fifty + years of ranching. It is drawn from real life, though some names are changed or not given to protect the guilty. Visit the HMI store to purchase Walt's book and other books and learning materials on Holistic Management.
