Jeremy Neely of Gilmer was an ex-Kilgore Firefighter employed by Platinum Pressure Pumping, Inc. It was reported that a high-pressure explosion happened resulting in his death and the injury of some of his co-workers.
“Working around a gas-well or an oil-well can be a dangerous business. This is especially true when you start dealing with the high-pressures necessary for fracking to obtain mineral deposits from thousands of feet below the surface,” said Jarom Tefteller. “These types of incidents are rare and do not typically happen unless something goes seriously wrong. The family has been given very little information about what happened to Jeremy at the gas-well, but we will find out the truth and get justice for them.”
“Jeremy was a very outgoing and friendly guy who everyone loved who knew him. His family is devastated at his death and are frustrated that he was killed by a situation that was surely preventable,” Tefteller concluded.
Neely, 34, graduated of Gilmer High School in 1996.
