'United Sounds of Africa' Makes Houston Their First Stop

United Sounds of Africa (USA) is a music project and compilation of the most elite African vocalists, artists, and composers that have the opportunity to globally introduce their diverse African cultures and talent in their first ever North American tour this August.

USA works in an effort of combining these distinct African cultures on all music formats/platforms around the world, while the music emphasizes unity and associations amongst Africa and the USA. The USA works with very experienced and fresh partners to produce music and cultural connections with their individual brands in a global music perspective.

White Linen Night in The Heights This Saturday

I know you've been waiting for the perfect night to debut your brand-spankin'-new pair of tighty-whiteys, and Saturday is the perfect day– as long as they are underneath your pair of white linen pants and white shirt. Saturday, August 4, is the 6th annual White Linen Night in The Heights; a celebration marked by the traditional donning of white clothing, and an evening gathering in the Heights neighborhood to celebrate all things local. From 6-10pm, this year's theme, "Local Faces, Local Flavor, Local Fun!" will focus on Heights-thriving businesses, musicians, and artists.
