The Buckeyes held a 21-10 lead at halftime and survived a furious second-half comeback by the Lions to go 3-0 in District 16-3A.
Gilmer, now 6-1 overall, is open this week during the Yamboree and will return to action at Buckeye Stadium against Spring Hill on Oct. 26.
