The Gilmer Buckeyes improved to 12-1 on the season with a 42-21 win over the Argyle Eagles in a Class 3A Division II Region II Semifinal matchup at Mesquite Memorial Stadium Friday night.

Next up are the Henderson Lions (9-4) in the Region II Final on Friday night, Dec. 7. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Lobo Stadium in Longview. Gilmer is the home team.

The Lions qualified for this game by defeating Celina 64-35 Friday night at Mesquite's Hanby Stadium.
