The 7 to 10 p.m. event is a fundraiser for the planned Upshur County Hope House for Pets. Hope House is a proposed no-kill animal shelter, to provide a second chance for pets.
The evening will include a barbecue dinner, Christmas music, a performance of Scrooge Has Left the Building by the Upshur County Players, door prizes, an Elvis Impersonator (aren’t you glad we didn’t say “tribute artist”) show, a live auction with Upshur County Sheriff Anthony Betterton as auctioneer, and Santa Claus, available for photos.
Tickets are $25 each and are available by calling 903-841-1221, 903-746-3015, or at the Animal Medical and Surgical Hospital on Hwy. 154 W., Gilmer, or at JT’s Tint and Trim in Gilmer.
