Peel has worked for the past 25 years helping people identify their calling and close the gap between Sunday faith and Monday work. He is an award-winning author of seven books (now in multiple languages). He served on the Promise Keepers’ leadership training faculty and national speakers team. His book What God Does When Men Pray, a Silver Medallion Award winner, was Promise Keepers’ first study guide and has sold more than 225,000 copies. With his friend Dr. Walt Larimore, Bill co-wrote the highly successful, Saline Solution, and the two taught healthcare professionals worldwide to effectively speak about faith issues with their patients. The men also co-authored Workplace Grace (formerly titled Going Public with Your Faith), winner of a Silver Medallion Award. His media appearances include repeat interviews on Focus on the Family, Moody Radio and numerous magazines.
He is also the founding pastor of Bethel Bible Church in Tyler, Texas, where he served from 1992 to 1997.
Peel earned his bachelor's degree is from Southern Methodist University, his Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and he is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Gordon-Conwell Seminary. Bill and his wife, Kathy, have three grown sons and live in Dallas, Texas.
