United Way's Nonprofit Development Center Offers Census Bureau Class On March 20, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, the United Way of Smith County's Nonprofit Development Center will offer a class on understanding, locating, and using the 2010 Census, the American Community Survey, the Economic Data sets, as well as using the American FactFinder Tool. Through exercises and discussions, participants will improve their skills in identifying, locating, and analyzing Census Bureau data. The hands-on class will be held in Computer Lab room 151 at the Tyler Junior College West Campus on SSW Loop 323 in Tyler. This session is particularly useful for nonprofit organizations that need specific data to substantiate their grant proposals. Pre-registration is required and seating is very limited. Cost is $50 for each participant until March 15. The late registration fee after March 15 is $60.
