LETU TO FEATURE AXIS CEO DAVID EATON ON FAITH STRENGTH  MARCH 22

LONGVIEW—LeTourneau University will feature David Eaton, co-founder and chief executive officer of the ministry organization Axis, to speak on strengthening the Christian faith amid competing worldviews during a special chapel service at 10:50 a.m. Friday, March 22, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave., in Longview. The event is free and open to the public.

In 2005, Eaton earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from LeTourneau University, before attending Focus Leadership Institute, a school that encourages the development of faith-based knowledge and principles in practical ministry. Seeking to apply this knowledge, Eaton served as director of Summit East for Summit Ministries, an organization that teaches college students how to logically examine and reinforce Christian tenets.

In 2006,Eaton co-founded Axis to help young people grapple with difficult issues and diverse perspectives, such as spiritual doubt and atheism. The goal of Axis presentations is for audiences to better understand competing ideologies and arguments for truth, thereby forming a defensible, well-rounded biblical worldview.
