THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY Plant Sale Thursday and Friday at the Upshur County Library proved popular again this year. Randy Simmons, the grower, and Ruth Semrau, president of the Friends, hold May Night Salvia as they stand by the hanging baskets of petunias the literary support group were selling Thursday. Funds raised assist the library with the costs of performers for the Summer Reading Club and other library activities.
