AUSTIN, Texas—Texas Association of Authors adds a third seminar to their Texas Spring Book Festival lineup. Award winning producer, writer and director, Hans-Martin Liebing will open the seminar, speaking on topics that will help authors get their work noticed by Hollywood, U.S. independent, and international producers.

The digital era has opened up new venues for publishing and marketing books and made it easier to access creative decision-makers in film and television industries around the globe. Authors will be shown how to put their books on the radar of decision-makers in the U.S. and international film and television industries and how to get ahead of the curve creatively.

It’s important to know the easiest channels to get your book to the front of the line” said Texas Authors founder, B. Alan Bourgeois.

Hans-Martin Liebing has produced, co-produced, written and directed narrative films and documentaries in the U.S., Europe, Asia and New Zealand and serves as an international film industry consultant. He holds graduate degrees from UT Austin’s Radio-Television-Film Department and the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. His experience will add to the value of the Texas Spring Book Festival.

We are pleased that Hans will speak at our festival,” said Bourgeois “introducing authors to experienced international producers is essential to our goal of helping Texas authors.”

Mr. Liebing’s skills have gained the attention of participants attending the Spring Book Festival. Many are hoping to be able to question him on proper techniques for writing Hollywood screenplays.

His knowledge will be beneficial to us and our work,” mentioned Carla Young when she was asked how she felt about Liebing speaking at the Spring Festival. She will be one of many attending the Festival who will eagerly be taking notes.

The seminar will cover topics such as the differences in the domestic and international marketplaces for books to film, how to facilitate first contact with creative decision-makers in various markets, and how to turn novels into artistically and commercially viable screenplays.

Enrollment in Mr. Liebing’s seminar is limited and reservations are required. The Texas Spring Book Festival 2013 will offer copies of his work and others for sale. Guests may also purchase breakfast for $15.00 at the event and proceeds will go to help future authors find their way with the help of the Texas Association of Authors.

The Texas Association of Authors is also promoting a fundraiser to help raise money for the event by offering one lucky winner a set of books from last year’s Spring Book Festival.
