THE UPCOMING WEEKEND...



 



HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 80S THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS



ACROSS THE FOUR STATE REGION ARE ABOUT TO COME TO AN ABRUPT END



WITH THE APPROACH OF A VIGOROUS UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM POISED TO



MAKE ITS FIRST APPEARANCE INTO THE REGION ON THURSDAY. A STRONG



COLD FRONT IN ASSOCIATION WITH THIS TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BE



LOCATED JUST WEST OF THE FOUR STATE REGION BY SUNRISE THURSDAY



MORNING. THE FRONT WILL COME BARRELING INTO THE REGION DURING THE



DAY THURSDAY WITH STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS AND FALLING DAYTIME



TEMPERATURES IN ITS WAKE. HIGH TEMPERATURES ON THURSDAY WILL



LIKELY BE REACHED DURING THE MORNING HOURS ACROSS MOST OF



NORTHEAST TEXAS...SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND THE WESTERN HALF OF



SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS WITH TEMPERATURES QUICKLY FALLING THROUGH THE



50S DURING THE DAY.



 



SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY ACCOMPANY THIS CHANGE IN



AIR MASS THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT BUT WIDESPREAD SEVERE



THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT ANTICIPATED AT THIS TIME.



 



THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL BECOME CUTOFF ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA



AND WESTERN ARKANSAS DURING THE DAY FRIDAY AND WILL BE SLOW TO



MOVE EASTWARD TOWARDS THE MID MISSISSIPPI VALLEY THROUGH THE
