THIS FRIENDLY RACCOON invited itself to breakfast with Darrell Cookʼs cats during the daytime Saturday morning. Cook said the raccoon didnʼt seem to be afraid of him, and approached fairly closely to him. However, understanding the nature of wild animals and the potential they have to carry diseases, Cook wisely left it alone. Often, something may be seriously wrong with nocturnal animals who are out in the daytime, but Cook said the raccoon didnʼt appear to be sick. Cook lives near Enon, off FM 852.
