AUSTIN- With temperatures around the state hitting the 90’s and 100’s, Texans everywhere are looking for a way to keep cool.

TPWD Awareness PSA Wins Award for Best Communications Campaign
The Association for Conservation Information’s annual award ceremony recognizes professionals involved with conservation.
There are more than 25 categories of awards such as magazine article, news releases, public service announcements, communications campaign and educational programs, just to name a few.
This year, first place for communications campaign was awarded to members of Texas Parks and Wildlife’s staff for their efforts to stop the spread of zebra mussels.
The campaign was titled “Hello Zebra Mussels, Goodbye Texas Lakes.” The recognized staff include: Darcy Bontempo, Carly Montez, Brian Van Zee and Dave Terre.
