SRAC and the Downtown District Authority are producing a downtown treasure hunt Thursday, August 15 as part of our Third Thursday Trolley event. Get to artspace between 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm and we'll assign you to a team and a trolley!  Follow  your clues and perform your tastks and you will win BIG!  
Trolleys leaves artspace every 30 mins!

Big things are happening in Shreveport Common.  The Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) is UNveiling the monthly series, UNSCENE!, which will UNleash SHREVEPORT COMMON, debuting the innovative look, feel, tastes, smells, and sounds of this new Uncommon Cultural Community.  Academy Award winning director, animator, public art creator, and UNprecedented visionary Brandon Oldenburg serves as the UNSCENE! Artistic Director, overseeing a diverse Artists' Management Team to curate 12 UNSCENE! events comprised of national, regional and local artists who will create and present UNconventional new works.

Are Coming
SRAC in collaboration with SPAR, and in cooperation with the DDA offers opportunities for artists to create temporary public art installations in the 9-block area known as Shreveport Common. Temporary artworks maybe created with unusual media or installed in unexpected places.

artspace presents is a juried exhibition for all professional artists and artisans who live in one of the ten parishes that comprise Northwest Louisiana, the region for which the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) is responsible through designation by the Louisiana Division of the Arts. Each artist is invited to submit multiple works TO BE SOLD during the artspace presents exhibition.

On August 6 Gregory Free and Brandon Oldenburg gave artists and others in the community a tour through Shreveport Common, pinpointing historical landmarks and places where UNSCENE! art projects may take place.
