SWITCHFOOT TO PERFORM FADING WEST CONCERT AT LETU NOV. 23
(Longview, Texas) — Alternative Christian rock band Switchfoot will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center at LeTourneau University, 2100 Mobberly Ave. in Longview. The concert is part of Switchfoot’s Fading West tour, featuring the band’s latest album and a film documenting Switchfoot’s journey, which will be shown at the concert.
Fading West is Switchfoot’s tenth album in the band’s 17-years as a band. Switchfoot first received wide recognition after its music featured prominently in the movie “A Walk to Remember.” The band’s next album, The Beautiful Letdown, was certified double platinum after over 2.6 million sales and garnered the band four Dove Awards in 2005, including Artist of the Year. Switchfoot also won a Grammy Award in 2011 for Best Rock Gospel Album with its seventh album, Hello Hurricane.
