George Foreman to speak at fund-raiser in Center on Nov. 5

Two-time Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the world, George Foreman, will speak at 7pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the John D. Windham Civic Center, 146 Express Blvd., in Center, Texas.  Mr. Foreman will share his life story and his Christian Testimony.   The Master of Ceremonies for the program will be Brad Maule, who starred as "Dr. Tony Jones" on TV's General Hospital for 22 years.
 
The event is a fund-raiser for Shelby County Outreach Ministries.  The organization is involved in a variety of activities to help those in need, including; Senior Nutrition Site, Meals on Wheels Program, Emergency Food Boxes, Emergency Dental assistance, Ensure Program, Emergency Utility Bill assistance, Gas Cards, Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner, Angel Tree and Christmans for Needy Children.

Only 600 tickets are available for the event.  A ticket and one non-perishable food item are required for admission.  Advance tickets are $10.00 each and are available at both Ace Hardware Stores in Center and Baskin's Department Stores in Lufkin and Nacogdoches.  Should any tickets remain unsold, they will be priced at $15.00 at the door.  For more information or for credit card orders, please phone 888.218.6464.
