Beat the Flu at the Drive-Through

What:

It’s flu season, and VA North Texas Health Care System is reminding all Veteran patients to get their flu shot. Everyone, especially high risk groups including the elderly and people with certain health conditions, should receive a flu vaccination each year.  Flu shots will be provided during drive-through flu clinics all VA North Texas facilities. Veterans with an honorable military discharge can receive flu shots without leaving their car.

8 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Where:

Dallas VA Medical Center: south entrance, 4500 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, TX 75216

   • Fort Worth VA Outpatient Clinic: ambulance entrance, 2201 SE Loop 820, Fort Worth, TX 76119

   • Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center in Bonham: west entrance at building 1, 1201 E. Ninth, Bonham, TX 75418

   • Tyler VA Primary Care Clinic: main entrance, 3414 Golden Road, Tyler, TX 75701

Why:

All Veterans are encouraged to get a flu shot, and many are in high risk categories to get the flu. This drive-through event is a convenient opportunity to be vaccinated. Flu shots are also available during VA clinic appointments. Dallas and Bonham VA Medical Centers also provide walk-in flu clinics.
