KLRN PUBLIC TELEVISION AWARDED LONE STAR CHAPTER REGIONAL EMMY AWARD

San Antonio, Texas  (November 11,  2013):  On Saturday, November 9, KLRN Public Television was awarded their first-ever Lone Star Chapter Regional Emmy Award.  Randy Allee, KLRN Production Supervisor/ Audio Production Services Specialist, accepted the award for Outstanding Achievement in Audio for the Brahms Symphony program that was recorded in 2012 and aired through January 2013 on KLRN.

“Our studio is not a performance hall, so the sound recording must be delicately and expertly edited to assure the highest quality for broadcast. Randy proved his talent by not only getting nominated, but actually bringing home the Emmy, the first in our 51 year history. I'm honored to work with such a talented person,” said KLRN President and CEO, Mario A. Vazquez.

Allee has been a KLRN employee for 24 years and is a well-known face for the station. Anyone who has attended a KLRN event or a screening, production or recording event at KLRN has almost certainly met Allee as his expertise is utilized throughout the station’s many initiatives.
