TEEA to hold chili luncheon fundraiser

The Texas Extension Education Association of Upshur County will be holding its annual chili luncheon fundraiser on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Yamboree Exhibit Building in Gilmer.

“Award-winning” chili (with all the fixings), homemade desserts, ice tea and coffee will be served for $7.

Proceeds benefit a 4-H senior with a $1,000 scholarship to a college of his/her choice. Scholarship applications are available at the Upshur Count y Extension Office in Gilmer.

Tickets may be purchased from any TEEA member, at the Extension Office and at the door.

Co-chairpersons for the event are Gwen Jewett, Nora Davis and Sandy Coppedge.
