RHONDA VINCENT AND THE RAGE TO PERFORM AT LETU FRIDAY, JAN. 17
(Longview, Texas) — LeTourneau University announces Rhonda Vincent and the Rage will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave., in Longview.
With over 80 awards, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage is the most awarded band in bluegrass music. Vincent has received several awards for Female Vocalist of the Year, a Song of the Year and Entertainer of the Year from the International Bluegrass Music Association. The Wall Street Journal named Vincent “the new queen of bluegrass.” She is a five-time Grammy nominee and has worked with other notable singers and musicians throughout her career, including Dolly Parton, Alan Jackson, and Joe Diffie.
Vincent is set to release her new album, “Only Me,” on Jan. 28.
Opening for Vincent is a Longview native brother-and-sister duo. LETU freshman Bryce Jordan, 18, on mandolin, and his sister, Kayla, 22, on guitar, have been playing music at bluegrass festivals for the past decade.
