Working diligently beneath the quote from Van Gogh, “I dream of painting and then I paint my dream,” all the members painted a basic sunflower design, which turned out differently for each “budding artist.” For two hours each member sketched, created, stroked, and tweeked their personal creation. At the end of the evening a photo was taken of the final products. It was a productive and enjoyable event for all.
Kelly’s studio is open year round for painting parties, art camps, classes, workshops, and private lessons. Born in the area, she graduated from Harmony High School. She taught art at Gilmer High School for 14 years and is currently teaching art at Harmony High School where she has been for five years.
