Primary mission is to deliver care that bridges patients from hospital to home

LONGVIEW, TX, July 14, 2014, 2014—Treviso Transitional Care, a post-acute transitional health care center, received its Certificate of Occupancy from the City of Longview and moves another step closer to opening. Receiving Certificate of Occupancy means that all life safety features of the building, are all in place and operational. According to an announcement today by Treviso Administrator Sharon Carter, this is a major milestone because it means construction is complete and staff can move into the community and begin training and preparing to accept patients.

Treviso Transitional Care will offer a state-of-the-art destination for patients seeking higher acuity clinical care and rehabilitation services. It will primarily provide short-term care and rehabilitation services to patients covered by Medicare and managed care plans, with the objective of helping patients recover as quickly as possible and transition back to their lifestyle. Treviso’s clinical care and services will be comparable to what is available in many local long term acute care hospitals (LTACHs) and acute rehabilitation hospitals—at a fraction of the cost.

Treviso is bringing more than 100 jobs to the Longview community and looks forward to celebrating the completion of the transitional care community, with the public at their community grand opening in mid-August.

Located at 1154 East Hawkins Parkway, Treviso Transitional Care will offer private transitional care suites in a beautifully designed 55,951 square foot building, including a 3,200 square foot rehabilitation gym. Treviso will primarily provide short-term care and rehabilitation services to patients covered by Medicare and managed care plans, with the objective of helping patients recover as quickly as possible and transition back to their lifestyle. Treviso Transitional Care will afford patients and the local medical community a new post-acute destination that integrates clinical care with wellness, rehabilitative therapy and health education.
