NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION OF CITY OF ORE CITY, TEXAS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the City Council of City of Ore City, Texas, to issue one or more series of interest bearing certificates of obligation of the City for the purpose of paying all or a portion of the City’s contractual obligations to be incurred in connection with (i) renovating and expanding the existing fire department, and (ii) the purchase of a new brush truck and firefighting equipment and gear related thereto and (iii) for paying legal, fiscal, engineering and architectural fees in connection with these projects and to pay the costs of issuance of the certificates of obligation. The City Council tentatively proposes to adopt an ordinance authorizing the issuance of said certificates of obligation at City Hall, 302 East Main Street, Ore City, Texas 75683 at a regular meeting to commence at 7:00 P.M. on February 14, 2017. The maximum amount of certificates of obligation indebtedness that may be authorized to be sold on said date for such purposes described above is $450,000. The City proposes to provide for the payment of such certificates of obligation from the levy and collection of ad valorem taxes in the City as provided by law, and from limited surplus revenues of the City’s waterworks and sewer system remaining after payment of all operation and maintenance expenses thereof, and all debt service, reserve, and other requirements in connection with all of the City’s revenue bonds or other obligations (now or hereafter outstanding), which are payable from all or any part of the net revenues of the City’s waterworks and sewer system. The certificates of obligation are to be issued, and this notice is given, under and pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 271, Subchapter C.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO AMEND A CERTIFICATE OF CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY (CCN) TO PROVIDE WATER UTILITY SERVICE IN UPSHUR AND WOOD COUNTIES, TEXAS.



Sharon WSC has filed an application with the Public Utility Commission of Texas to amend a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity for the provision of water utility service in Upshur and Wood Counties. The proposed water CCN service areas is located approximately 9 miles northeast of downtown Quitman, Texas, and is generally bounded on the north by FM 2088 on the east by FM 852 on the south by approximately 500 feet from Texas 154 on the west by approximately 250 feet from FM 312. The proposed water CCN service area requested includes approximately 21,342 acres and 0 current customers. You must state (1) your name, mailing address, and daytime telephone number; (2) the applicant’s name, application number or another recognizable reference to this application; (3) the statement, “I/we request a public hearing”; (4) a brief description of how you or the persons you represent, would be adversely affected by the granting of the application for a CCN; and (5) your proposed adjustment to the application or CCN which would satisfy your concerns and cause you to withdraw your request for a hearing. A public hearing will be held only if a legally sufficient hearing request is received or if the Commission on its own motion requests a hearing. If a public hearing is requested, the Commission will not issue the CCN and will forward the application to the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) for a hearing. If no settlement is reached and an evidentiary hearing is held, SOAH will submit a recommendation to the Commission for final decision. If an evidentiary hearing is held, it will be a legal proceeding similar to a civil trial in state district court. If you are a landowner with a tract of land at least 25 acres or more, that is partially or wholly located within the proposed area, you may request to be excluded from the proposed area (or “opt out”) by providing written notice to the Commission within (30) days from the date that notice was provided by the applicant. All requests to opt out of the requested service area must include a large scale map and a metes and bounds description of the tract of land. Legal Notice

Application has been made with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for a Winery permit by Annieleerose Enterprises, LLC, LLC/B/A Rowdy Creek Ranch, to be located at 4048 State Highway 300, Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas.
