Small Taxing Unit Notice

The City of East Mountain will hold a meeting at 6:00 PM on September 11, 2017 at East Mountain City Hall Conference Rm, 103 Municipal Dr, East Mountain, TX 75645 to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2017. The proposed tax rate is $0.133400 per $100 of value. The proposed tax rate would increase total taxes in City of East Mountain by 7.96%.

Public Notice

The City of Gilmer will hold a public hearing at Gilmer City Hall, 110 Buffalo, Gilmer, Texas, on Tuesday, September 12, 2016, 5:15 p.m. to discuss the proposed budget for fiscal year 2017-2018. This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $110,410.00 (6.07%), and of that amount. $25,227.00 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year. The City encourages citizens to participate in the discussion of the budget and to make their views known at the public hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views to Kathy D. Hoover, City Secretary, at the Gilmer City Hall. Handicapped individuals wishing to attend this meeting should contact City Hall at 903-843-2552 to arrange assistance if needed.
