KC choirs will open season with ‘All Jazzed Up: From Gospel to Gershwin’

 

The Kilgore College Chorale and Camerata Singers will present a concert of soulful gospel and jazz pieces 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in Van Cliburn Auditorium. 

 

The KC Chorale will perform selections from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess with student soloists Hailey Vestal, Robbie Childers and Zachary Hinson of Longview and Julia Fulgham of Kilgore. 

 

Joining the KC Chorale as a guest soloist will be Jon Starling, a KC alumnus.

 

Other soloists appearing in the program will include Savannah Harrold of Longview, Taylor Radford of Gladewater and Georgia Shelton of Lafayette, La.

 

The concert is free and open to the public.
