CELTIC CROSSROADS WILL PERFORM IN TYLER, TX ON JANUARY 18, 2010

The Tyler Community Concert Association Announces Celtic Crossroads as part of their 2009/2010 Concert Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The critically acclaimed Celtic Crossroads, will bring the tradition of Irish music and much more to the Caldwell Auditorium in Tyler, TX on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 7:30pm. This concert is part of Tyler Community Concert Association’s electrifying concert season. “This year’s concert series is amazing and features some of the best talent available,” says Gini Rainey, president of the Tyler Community Concert Association. Season tickets are $50 for adults, $25 for students/children and $25 for individual concerts. You can find out more information by calling (903) 592-6266 or visiting TCCA’s web site at www.tcca.biz.

Celtic Crossroads is a veritable explosion of youthful energy and astounding musicianship. Fusions of Irish music, bluegrass, gypsy and jazz pulsate with the underlying spark of Irish dance percussion. The live shows are a spectacle of talent, displaying how Irish music influenced the global birth of a multitude of musical genres. This show is redefining Irish music by going right to the heart of its rhythms. Seven world-class musicians, playing over twenty instruments on stage, is a fantastic spectacle. The group is led by Irish/Australian Musical Director, Michael McClintock. In 2006, Michael arrived in Galway on a mission to share his experiences through his travels of how Irish music influenced musicians throughout the world. Michael is originally from Dublin, but moved to Australia at the age of three, but is now involved with Celtic Crossroads on a full time basis. Celtic Crossroads is doing for Irish music what Riverdance has done for Irish dance – not to be missed!

Established in 1933, Tyler Civic Music became affiliated with Community Concerts in 1955 to form Tyler Community Concert Association. Motivated by the mission “to bring artists and audiences together,” Community Concerts provided a refined network of artists and promoters which enabled local associations such as Tyler’s to present top entertainers at reasonable prices for the cultural enrichment of their members.
