The top five in each section progress to the area auditions in January in Plano. All six Gilmer choir members placed in the top five of their sections. Each student sang in English and foreign language and sight-read a selection they had never seen before. In front is Cori Beasley, 11th grade, 1st alto and second chair. In back, from left, are Jaide Baugh, 12th grade, 1st soprano and 1st chair; ; Shelbi Herndon, 10th grade, 1st soprano and 3rd chair; Adam Martin, 12th grade, 1st bass and 3rd chair: Ben Lampp, 12th grade, 2nd bass and 3rd chair; and Jeremy Cuba, 12th grade, 1st tenor and 4th chair.
